Common questions.
Do I need an appointment for an emergency?
No. If your pet is in distress, call us and come straight in. We'd rather you skip the booking step entirely. A quick phone call lets our team prepare for your arrival, which means faster care once you're here.
Are you an overnight emergency hospital?
No — we are a daytime hospital with same-day urgent care every day from 7:30 AM to 7:00 PM. If your pet needs overnight critical care, we'll stabilize them, coordinate transfer, and send full records to the referral hospital so you don't have to repeat the story.
What happens after I call?
A team member will ask a few quick questions to triage what's happening — symptoms, timing, your pet's age and history. They'll either guide you to come in immediately, or in some cases reassure you that a same-day appointment will be enough. Either way, we'll be ready when you arrive.
What if I can't afford emergency care?
We work with you. We accept CareCredit and Scratchpay, both of which offer same-day approval and flexible monthly payments. We'll always present a written estimate first and walk through options — including stabilization-only care if a full workup isn't feasible right now.
My pet ate something — should I induce vomiting?
Not without calling us first. Some toxins are more dangerous coming back up than going down (corrosives, batteries, sharp objects). Pet Poison Helpline can also be reached at (855) 764-7661 — a small consultation fee, but it can save valuable time.
Can I bring records from another vet?
Yes — please do. Vaccine history, recent bloodwork, and a list of current medications all help us treat faster and safer. If you can't access them, we can usually request records from your regular vet directly.
